The Swiss mountain village of Champéry

Champéry is a Swiss mountain village situated at the foot of Dents Blanches and Dents du Midi. Because of its location in the valley, it is a beautiful destination, surrounded by mountains and at the foot of the Portes du Soleil ski area. In the village is a cable car that takes you within a few minutes to the first slopes. From here, you can go in different directions and discover different slopes.

Activities in the village and surroundings

Alpinism is a well-known activity in Champéry, it is the climbing of a mountain with the aim of reaching the top. This takes a lot of effort, energy and technique because you have to overcome various obstacles. The most popular mountain is the Barme, which is 1,492 metres high and has many different routes to choose from. Please note that this activity is not suitable for beginners. However, beginners can also climb in Champéry, namely in the indoor sports hall of the village. Here, you can learn to climb on climbing walls, and you can also swim in the heated indoor swimming pool. Other activities include golf, mountain biking and various water sports such as sailing and canoeing. The surroundings of Champery are also perfect for lovely walks through the natural surroundings of the village.

In the evening, you can enjoy fondue or other culinary dishes in one of the restaurants or cafés in Champéry.
