The authentic mountain village of Châtel

Châtel has been a much-visited holiday destination for years. The authentic village, situated in the beautiful mountain region of the French Alps, consists of a cosy centre with many cosy and narrow streets. Châtel is perfect for winter sports, with many ski lifts and access to the large ski resort Portes du Soleil, there are plenty of opportunities and challenges for young and old.

Activities 

Would you like to do something else than skiing or snowboarding? No problem, there are plenty of other activities to undertake in Châtel. Go ice-skating for an afternoon, take a ride in the bobsleigh or cross-country ski on one of the many trails that Châtel has to offer. In the mountain village there is also a cinema where you can relax in the evening with a good film with friends or family. In addition, Lake Geneva is about a 1.5 hour's drive from Châtel, a beautiful area to visit. In the summer you can swim, walk, or cycle here, enjoy the nature, and completely relax.  

In the village are several restaurants and bars where you can dine, drink and après-ski. From culinary highlights to atmospheric bistros, there is something for every occasion.
