The island of Yeu
The island of Yeu, nicknamed the jewel of the Atlantic coast, is ideal for a day trip from Saint Gilles Croix de Vie. Board a ferry for a 45-minute crossing. On arrival, rent a bike and set off to explore the island. It is easy to go around since the island of Yeu covers an area of 23km2.
The island has a great diversity of landscapes; the south/west coast is rather rocky with steep cliffs and magnificent small coves while the north coast offers beautiful dune beaches.
